ARIZAGA, S.L. We use the VENTILATED FACADE system. The Ventilated Façade System is a construction system of exterior enclosure composed of an interior sheet, a layer of insulating material and a non-watertight exterior sheet.
This type of facade results in durable finishes and high quality.
The process of building a ventilated facade is as follows:
On the façade of the building (interior sheet) - once it has been sanitized and when it is completely smooth - a metallic substructure destined to support the outer finishing sheet is anchored, as well as an insulation layer, by means of plastic dowels or adhesive mortar. Once the insulating layer is placed, the finishing sheet is assembled. The substructure leaves an air chamber of a few centimeters between the insulation and the plates that make up the second skin. The joints between these plates are open, allowing the flow of air.
The exterior plates can be made of different materials: stone, wood, sandwich panels, slate, etc.
The exterior or finishing façade must have grooves in both the lower and upper part, to allow air renewal; hence the name of ventilated façade. At the same time, said grooves must be protected to prevent the entry of water, insects or birds inside. For this reason, in the singular points (ridge line, perimeter of windows), rain gutters should be installed to protect and hinder the entry of water.
The existence of joints and a separation distance between the facade pieces avoids the typical problems of dilation. There must be a minimum separation of 10 mm. That allows the correct expansion of the materials and prevents damage to the facade. This makes a ventilated façade look impeccable for many years.
The outer sheet also cushions the temperature changes both in the thermal insulation and in the waterproofing, prolonging its useful life.
Finally, the existence of the outer sheet helps to reduce the thermal losses of the building: in the summer months the outer layer is heated creating a convective effect that circulates the air inside the chamber. The cold air weighs more enters the bottom of the building and as it warms up, because it weighs less. This creates a "chimney effect" that constantly dislodges hot air and renews it with cooler air. In the winter months the air in the chamber heats up, but not enough to create the same effect and heat is better preserved.
A very important advantage of ventilated facades is that maintenance work is minimal. This type of façades is cleaned by the effect of rain.
In short, a ventilated facade results in great comfort inside the house. In addition, it significantly improves the thermal and acoustic insulation and guarantees high economic and energy savings.
We have Certificates that guarantee the correct installation of the best insulating systems in the market.
We aim to make life easier for the client. We take care of everything.
