Comprehensive reform in Getxo, Neguri neighborhood. Basque Coast.

The apartment is located in a luxurious neighborhood on the outskirts of Bilbao, Nasque Country, specifically in Guecho (Getxo), Biscay municipality on the right bank of the so-called Gran Bilbao, near Sopelana, Berango, Astrabudua, Erandio, etc.

It is a last floor on which there is an storage room that belongs to the same owner. The idea is to communicate both floors installing an internal staircase and turn both properties into a duplex.

First, we mark on the floor the area to be chopped to exactly match the point of the hallway of the house where we want the hollow and staircase to match.

In the storage room it had been already installed a toilet, but its sanitary water supply an draining pipes are located right where we want to open the hole. So the first thing we have done is to condemned them out and created another new circuit for sanitary water supply.

Although it is a simple-looking work, it must be done with extreme caution: we are chopping the concrete slab (structural element). We find tile, grip material, concrete, block and steel. We must do the work so that no material falls to the lower floor. We chop in layers to prevent large pieces from falling to the lower floor. Let us think that any big piece in drop nearly three meters high can become a projectile that damages the lower floor. The false ceiling serves as a containment of dust and dirt and we do not open the gap in it until the hole is completely made and have removed the debris and dust.

We flatenned the uper floor area, just there where it has been stung and afterwards we have put them joined together with plasterboard till the false ceiling underneath down below. We already have the area prepared for the installation of the stairway previously manufactured with elondo that our carpenter had custom manufactured before and which placed and finished without difficulty.

In addition to this, the customer wanted to place some kind of closure between both floors to give greater privacy to the one located on the top floor. Consequently, our carpenter devised a horizontal door using pulleys to make easier to open and close.

We end up finishing and painting the whole area we've worked in.

Finally we deliver the apartment to the client completely clean. Ready for start living.

The customer was completely satisfied with the final result, the fulfillment of the promised deadlines and the treatment received by our company.
